Sometimes you just need to be weird!
And have fun doing it! The best part is, it is perfectly okay. I highly recommend it. 🙂
I had this idea come into my head from some place beyond all reason. The meaning of it still escapes me, but the point of it was to have fun being weird. It was a great lesson to teach the kids, and I *hope* that they got the message. As soon as they got off the bus, I grabbed them, told them we were going to be weird, and made them stand in the bushes with their arms sticking out. Yes, they thought I was crazy. But we laughed and laughed as we ran from bush to bush, waiting for the timer on the camera to warn us of the coming shutter click. And like most children of the twenty first century, they had to run and see what it looked like on the back of the camera after each take. They could not fathom what I was going to do with all those crazy pictures.
As I began to work on the image on the computer and carefully started to composite the image, they started to see my vision. They were getting what we were doing, though they still didn’t understand why. I still don’t understand why, just that we had so much fun doing it. I will look at this image and remember the fun we had together making it. And perhaps that’s all that this image is about.
So get out there and be weird! Have fun together doing something that makes no sense whatsoever. Just because you can!
